Conquer Healthy Hydration Resolutions

The new year often brings many goals and resolutions. Goals to get fit, eat healthier foods, avoid sugary drinks, drink more water, etc... Probably one of the simplest resolutions to keep is the latter: Drink more water. As easy as it sounds, it’s very difficult for most of us.

Did you know that water is the 2nd most popular beverage in the US after soft drinks? (That’s a scary fact considering soda is a leading health hazard). Here are some other H2O facts that you should know:

1.       Roughly 60% of the body is made of water

2.       Drinking water helps with weight loss

3.       Kidneys need water to clear away waste from the body

4.       Water helps with concentration and alertness

5.       Sluggish? You’re probably dehydrated and don’t know it. Drink up!

So, we know we need to drink more water, but how? My suggestion – pick up a Hydro Flask water bottle. I recently starting using their 32 oz bottle to work on my own resolution to drink more water. And I absolutely LOVE IT. It’s functional, durable, and lives up to the promise of keeping your beverage chilled for 6 hours.

My colleagues here at Adventure to Fitness have also starting using Hydro Flask water bottles and have increased their daily water intake without even realizing it!  The various shapes, sizes, handles and lids make their bottles versatile for literally any lifestyle, on-the-go and even just around the house.

A Hydro Flask water bottle would also be a great addition to your kids’ daily routine. With sizes available for smaller hands, and if filled up in the morning before school, it will save your child multiple trips to the drinking fountain and eliminate the risk of picking up additional nasty germs. Most classrooms allow students to have water at their desks, so you can rest easy knowing that they are staying healthy and hydrated all day with a durable bottle that's worth every penny.
